HOW TO PREPARE: Dry the liver with paper towels, cut it into small chunks, and grind it in your blender. In large bowl, mix liver with corn meal and add flour (the flour should be added gradually as you mix). Add salt, spread the mix on greased cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Once cool, cut into squares and refrigerate for later use.

2. Liver Bread

For this quick, easy, and inexpensive recipe you’ll need:

  • 1 lb of any kind of liver, pureed
  • 1 cup of any kind of flour
  • 1 cup of corn meal
  • 1 Tbsp of oil

HOW TO PREPARE: Mix the pureed liver with all the other ingredients. Spread the mixture on a cookie sheet (you can also use jellyroll pan), and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Once cooled, break it into pieces. You can freeze it for later use.

3. Liver Jerky Pocket Treats

HOW TO PREPARE: Slice the liver in thin pieces and boil them in a large skillet for about 5 minutes. Take the liver slices out, spread them on a flat baking sheet and bake them in the oven at 250 degrees for 2-3 hours.

This will produce a liver jerky type of treat that you can carry in your pockets for later use.

NOTE: The longer you bake it, the tougher it becomes.
