Are Deodorizers Safe For My Pooch?

No matter how often you wash your pooch, he is bound to return to being a smelly bag of fleas really soon. This is where deodorizes come in.

However, since your dog has a different pH range, store bought human deodorizes are a huge no-no.

The answer is a homemade doggy deodorizer you can make in no time and you.

Let’s take a look at two simple solutions (pun intended) you can make yourself from the ingredients you probably have in your home.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Most of you are probably thinking – What? Vinegar is also smelly, but how can it be used as a deodorizer?

The truth is that vinegar is actually a high-powered deodorizer, you just need to wait it out for its own sharp smell to go away and it will leave your pooch’s skin fresh and odorless.

It can either be used either alone, at its full strength, or you can water it down a bit. Just mist your smelly four-legged friend all over its coat, let him dry naturally and enjoy the freshness.

Lavender

Unlike vinegar, lavender smells rather nicely, but it will wipe out that annoying doggy smell in no time. All you need to do is combine it with other essential oils and apply the solution to your dog’s coat.

In order to make the lavender mix, combine 1 cup distilled water with 10 drops lavender oil and 6 drops peppermint and orange oil. Shake it, don’t fake it, and you’re good to go.
