As gelatin contains amino acids which are important for your pooch’s skin, hair, joints and bone health, these super-powered treats will not only make your buddy’s tail wiggle, it will make it quite healthy as well.
Base Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of cold water,
- 1/4 cup of hot water,
- 1 tablespoon of plain unflavored gelatin (any flavored or artificially sweetened gelatin products can be potentially toxic to dogs)
Flavor Ingredients
Coconut:
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut,
- 1 cup of unsweetened coconut water;
Broth & Parsley:
- 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley (chopped),
- 1 cup of low sodium broth;
Pumpkin & Cinnamon:
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree,
- 1/8 tablespoon of cinnamon;
Low-cal Jelly Jiggler:
- 1 cup of water,
- 2 tablespoons of your dog’s favorite treat (crumbled or chopped)
Directions
- Pour 1/4 cup of cold water in a bowl, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of gelatin
- Pour 1/4 cup of hot water over the gelatin and whisk until dissolved
- Combine gelatin mixture with desired add in
- Pour into ice cube trays, moulds or a glass baking pan
- Cover and let it chill for up to 3 hours
- Cut and/or un-mould into small individual treats
The delicious and healthy treats are ready to be served to your ball of fur, and you don’t have to give him all at once as they will keep refrigerated for up to 4 days.
