Bearded Collie is a medium sized herding dog breed that is simply perfect for families who have many other pets as they are extremely dog and cat friendly.
Origin
The legend has it that Kazimierz Grabski, a Polish merchant, traded a shipment of grain for sheep in Scotland during the beginning of 16th century and brought six Polish Lowland Sheepdogs so he could move them.
One Scottish shepherd was so impressed with the herding ability of these dogs that he decided to trade several sheep for several dogs. The Polish sheepdogs were then bred with local Scottish dogs to produce the Bearded Collie.
