The Tibetan Spaniel is a breed of assertive, small, intelligent dogs which just perfect for kids.
Origin
The breed started Tibetan monastery dogs which were extremely loyal and were often regarded as “little Lions.” As for their Western history, Tibetan Spaniels were being bred in the UK by the 1890s, while the first authenticated reference to this pooch in the United States is a litter born out of two imported dogs from a Tibetan monastery in 1965.
Description
By AKC breed standard, this pooch grows to about 10 inches (25 cm) at the shoulder, and the average weight is between 9 and 15 lb (4.1–6.8 kg).
Their double coat is silky and comes in red, fawn, gold, white, cream, and black-tan colors.
As for their temperament, they are extremely intelligent and often regarded as one of the most cat-like dog breed which is quite social and needs regular contact with their humans.
