Just like us humans, our four-legged canine friends also need exercise in order to remain healthy both physically and mentally. As many of us probably don’t do nearly as enough exercising as we should, why not make a win-win-win situation and kill 3 birds with one stone? By exercising with your pooch you are both getting the much needed physical activity, while your furry buddy gets to spend more time with his master.
Last time we’ve covered running and cycling, today we are focusing on the plain old walking, but also swimming.
Walking
This activity is a great way to bond with your pooch, give him the opportunity to explore all the wonders of your neighborhood, while you also get some exercise as well.
Make sure you don’t walk fast so your dog has all the time in the world to sniff around and satisfy his primal needs.
If you two go for a walk every day, try to take a different route every so often in order to make it interesting for both you and your dog.

Swimming
This can be a tricky one as not all dogs know how to swim, while some simply don’t like water that much. However, if you happen to have a pooch that likes going for a swim, you know the drill – just get him near water and watch him have fun.
You can also combine plain swimming with the game of fetch, which makes this activity even more fun for both of you. But before all this, be sure your pooch can swim like a pro.
