Puppies can be finicky eaters. They are used to a diet of warm milk from their mother. As they learn about their environment and begin eating solid food, puppies might decide that they don’t want to eat dry dog food. Whether it is too hard or simply unappealing to your dog, there are tricks to get your puppy to eat dry dog food that you can try.
1. Don’t eat at the same time
Your puppy needs to understand that although they are part of the family, they are not in fact, human.
Eating at the same time can confuse a small puppy into thinking they should be eating the same food that you are. Eat before or after your dog to avoid confusion.
