One of the things that you can do is make sure the cat has her own space free of the dog’s unwanted attention that she can access at all times.
This can be a little tricky in a small apartment, but if you have a two-storey house or more, put a pet railing at the bottom of the stairs to prevent the dog from going upstairs, which will allow the cat to get some “me” time and feel as if it were the master of the house.

If possible, have your cat and dog spend time at a place that isn’t their shared home. Cats don’t like to share but if they are both guests at a place they won’t be quarrelling as much as there will be no need for the cat to get all territorial. This type of “quality time” they spend together will make them more tolerable towards each other even when they come back home.
Lastly, make sure each has their own food and water jar and don’t let the dog use the cat’s. The cat won’t appreciate the dog’s greediness and will resent it even more. Separate food and water jars give each of your pets independence and it is a way to work on their self-esteem. Make sure the dog doesn’t bug the cat too much and give the cat her own space and the two will learn to get along in no time.
